900 Project day 6/ june 18

We came from the Saturday's Farmers' Market, laden with veg, strawberries, bread, rhubarb tarts, and fresh spring rolls.  Then we had class.  Here's a fish-eye view of some of it:

Just hangin' around
Or lyin' around
Repulsing monkeys in Old Fools was next.... and a finish with arm-waving...in canon.  Sort of.

June 16, day 5, GFCH

GFCH seems tiny after Bear River; however less room for errors!
Ready to TURN!

Tim and Phil consult on Philip Larkin

We're trying to synch our moves with word cues in the poems.  Sometimes it seems like a losing battle, but our leader is undaunted:   'Good, guys.  Let's try it again.'

Old Fools repulsing monkeys was the next party trick: (video link)  Old Fools and monkeys

'Clumping' is our newest skill.  Who knew that inching our way backwards would look so interesting?  Here's the video link:   Clumping to 'Over'

June 14, day 4 Rebekah Hall, Bear River

We're on the road for rehearsal: at the Rebekah Hall, over the brand-new Sissiboo Cafe in Bear River.  The hall is a big almost - square room, a little drafty, but terrific to come from the corner in!  While Randy and George do the tech stuff, Grace lounges, Nat snaps pics, and Wayne looks around.

 Phil noodles on the keyboard.

It's a big day in class:  we learn to do a turn!  'That's good, guys,' says Randy.  We snicker.
Watch the angels turn!

We run through The Old Fools, The Red Dress, and work on Over.  Randy suggests we write some of the movement down.  So maybe we can remember it next time.  Sally obliges.

June 11, day 3

After some confusion over who was doing what at the Farmers' Market pool table, we arrive at the GFCH loaded with $8 carrots, $6 asparagus, spring rolls, Thai red curry and lots of Sissiboo coffee.

First order of business:  writing down the rehearsal schedule.  Subject to change.

Randy lets Nat lead class... a giggle was had by all.

June 9, day 2

During class, some of us have trouble finding the corners of the room.  Because, says George, the room is square?  And some of us need a skipping tutor...

As Phil said, why aren't we all SCREAMING!!?  Because we are having way too much fun.

Break time
